Swiss Chard

Swiss Chard

So in an effort to do something green my friend Seth & I decided to split a farm share from a local farm called Season’s Harvest.

Week One yielded:

  • swiss chard
  • broccoli
  • kale
  • sugar snap peas
  • lettuce
  • thyme & sage

The CSA makes rounds on Wednesdays every week and we go to a local shop to pick up our veggies. This will last for approximately 22 weeks, with a whole variety of vegetables available.

My first thought upon opening the box was … where’s the rest of it? We only purchased a half share ($425) so the pickings are much slimmer than the full share (a whopping $575). Seth & I intend to keep track of what we’re receiving to determine if it’s worth it at the end of the season.

Stay tuned!
